More EVOC Training

Good afternoon,

There is good news regarding an EVOC class for DCS members. On Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Fariplex in Pomona, a class will be given for 15 participants. Please register either through your Coordinator*, or let me know and I will get the names submitted. I also request that you let me \][po/.,mknow if a member has signed up so that we can make sure that they receive their certificates for passing the course.
* Staff should contact Staff 10
Notes:

• While this class is not eligible to go against a members DCS hours (48 per year), these are hours which are definitely eligible for the general training hours. Any member taking this class should keep track of their time and submit it for training hours.
• The track is on asphalt which means that it can be a bit warm. Please ask the members to take plenty of water.
• An hour is given for lunch. Many of the places are not located next door to the facilities. While driving to a location for lunch is quite acceptable, taking a lunch is also a suggested option.
