We have in stock a supply of quality hats. They are $12.00 each and can be purchased at the upcoming DCO Meeting and Quarterly Training.

Forty plus people attended an informative and entertaining expanded Traffic Control class conducted by Sgt. Jeff Jablonsky. Randy Branson; M-199, organized a contingent of volunteers from Pasadena PD as well.

Tactical Messages

Happy New Year to all!!! As we begin 2011 I would like to send you this brief reminder on tactical messages.

Please note that the DCS messages are styled after Tactical Messages and as such will follow a specific template. Tactical messages by nature are short and used to facilitate the handling of information for an event or disaster. A Tactical Message is short, concise, to the point, professional, and written in a specific manner. These messages are written in this style in order to be efficient, save time and effort, and provide as much information in as few words as possible. The normal salutations (Hello, thank you, Best Regards) are not part of the template for a Tactical Message.

DCS emails and Weekly Messages are formatted to follow the standards of a Tactical Message (i.e. short, concise, and to the point). As are all our nets and messages, this is used as practice for an emergency when we will need to pass messages efficiently, quickly, and in large volumes in a short amount of time.
