All Souls – 2011

2011 Dates:

November 2nd – Wednesday

December 4th – Sunday

Purpose:

To park over 1000 vehicles in an efficient, controlled, and effective manner. Assist cemetery personnel by alerting them of potential issues and resolve the issues under our control. Answer questions and assist the patrons when and where possible.

4400 Cherry Ave, Long Beach

Date:

This event is held three times a year:

Memorial Day (1000 hours Mass)  – Start time: 0730 hours

All Souls Day (1000 hours Mass) – Start time: 0730 hours

First Sunday in December (1300 hours Mass) – Start time 1100 hours

Number of personnel needed:

25 – 30

Shifts:

Two shifts are available:

Shift # 1: Begins 2 – 3 hours before the beginning of Mass to the completion of the detail.

Shift #2: Begins 2 – 3 hours before the beginning of Mass up to (roughly) 30 minutes after Mass begins.

Note:

This event requires several members that have completed the Traffic Control Class. While this is not necessary for all members, it is suggested.

Safety Vests are also STRONGLY suggested and certain positions are required to wear them. If you have a vest, please wear it! If you need to order a vest, please contact Rick Norwood at Staff11 at lacdcs dot org.
